Objective
Amnesia Ibiza is home to some of the most iconic clubbing spaces on the island, as a superclub which has picked up numerous awards since its inception 40 years ago. Its summer season of Pyramid, a weekly event sponsored by Size?Sessions and Adidas, required a full interior theme for the main room of the venue, to let attendees fully connect with the identity of the night. With Pyramid’s brand motto ‘appreciate the past, live the present and dance into the future’, our team needed to bring together elements of distinct time periods into one cohesive experience.
The Project
The superclub was fused with ancient Egypt and futuristic technology. Brand new installations designed and fabricated at our headquarters in the UK, which were then flown in to Ibiza.
Cryptic floating pyramids were suspended in formations across the ceiling, produced with mechanisms that make them appear as if powered by an unknown energy. They are illuminated from within in alternating colours, and given pre-programed animations by holographic fans across their exteriors.
The pyramids and relics carved with mysterious inscriptions became immersed into a higher canopy of otherworldly shapes and colours, formed organically as if part of an alien world or craft. Vines draped throughout the interior enhanced the distant setting, letting attendees explore an unmapped jungle of overgrown foliage and unprecedented technology.
The Results
An entirely new and bespoke experience immersed this hotspot of Ibiza nightlife into an unforgettable Amnesia experience. The comprehensive theme that brought together ancient structures with futuristic technology provided a visual representation of the core Pyramid brand message, which ran throughout the summer season at Amnesia as an icon of Ibiza events.
