OBJECTIVE | DESIGN ONLY
The La Selva restaurant in Barcelona required a full interior design into a wild new savannah concept. The interior needed to provide an immersive setting for visitors, which let them feel as if they had travelled to a distant location for their dining experience.
THE PROJECT
Fully detailed 3D renders were developed by our design team, visualising exactly how the final design would appear in reality. Each render provided an image of the textures, materials, lighting and colours of the design, which could be amended to any new ideas before going into construction.
Dining and bar areas are defined with a deep wooden vibe that resonates with the free spirited identity of the establishment. Tables formed from carved tree trunks were paired with seating areas inset with wooden panelling, set underneath wicker bohemian lighting fixtures.
The natural wood finishes complimented the vibrant greens of faux foliage and painted forest wall designs. The interior was given a wild savannah twist with hand painted murals of savannah animals, zebra pattern seating areas and twisted jungle ropes.
Urban elements were added to the interior with slogans in neon light, such as ‘welcome to the jungle’ and ‘stay wild’. These also provided guests with ideal photo opportunities, to share the brand across social media.
THE RESULTS
The natural yet dramatic style of the new concept presented the restaurant with an entirely original style, which would let its customers live their ideal travel lifestyle just by visiting the restaurant. The unique signature transformed the free-spirited identity of the brand into a setting which could be experienced.
