The Butterfly Effect | Sardinia

OBJECTIVE

The Butterfly Effect was the first edition of IllumiNaughty in Italy, at the renowned Opera Beach Arena venue in Cagliari, in collaboration with the London-based organisation ‘Multiverse Productions’. IllumiNaughty, our sister company, is highly regarded for its fully unique visual themes for every event, incorporating new installations, DJ booths, canopies and lighting. This two night event in August required a fresh look that would become the hallmark of the company expanding from the UK to Europe.

 

THE PROJECT

Our signature ‘Lost Temple’ stage installation had been running at the Opera Beach Arena over the summer, having become the signature look for the venue over the season. For ‘The Butterfly Effect’ event, this setup was transformed by our team into an electric new look that resonated with the image and graphic design of the event. The faux stone stage became an ethereal blue temple facade, framed by figureheads dressed in hot neon. Butterflies, tropical foliage, vines and palm leaves developed immersion into a paradise dashed with bright accents of pink, orange, yellow and red. Installations were hand painted on-site into new artworks planned by our design and construction team.

In addition to the stage design, our team managed the artists, performances, marketing and overall project management with our collaboration partner Multiverse Productions, to deliver the full event from the lineup creation to ensuring ticket sales. Our team also worked alongside the venue to project manage the event across both nights.

 

THE RESULTS

The event saw a full attendance over both nights at the Opera Beach Arena, which was packed with devoted fans of the artists. The stage drenched in colour enhanced the music, fire and dance performances, resulting in high-impact promotional photos which generated a widespread response on social media. The highly unique and on-trend look of the stage gave the brand a boost of interest for their upcoming events.
