Creamfields Festival, one of the world’s leading electronic music festivals, commissioned Visual Architects to design and deliver a fully immersive arena environment that would reflect the festival’s forward-thinking, cutting-edge identity. The objective was to create a cohesive, visually striking festival experience, bringing together iconic installations within a unified theme that would elevate the atmosphere and deepen audience engagement.
For the Forest stage, we brought the concept to life through a fully immersive production design, creating a sculpted stone façade framed by organic forms and climbing foliage. Layered textures, integrated LED screens and atmospheric lighting gave the stage a natural, otherworldly feel, while bespoke hanging details and overhead canopy elements extended the environment across the full space.
We delivered the full dressing for the Forest stage, extending the environment beyond the stage itself with a large-scale overhead canopy. Layered fabric, botanical detailing and integrated lighting transformed the space throughout the day, with the canopy taking on completely different atmospheres as daylight faded and the stage lighting came to life.
We created a series of bespoke sculptural installations throughout the Forest, using oversized human forms, organic textures and climbing foliage to build a sense of scale and discovery. From the dramatic entrance structures to the water feature and illuminated sculptures, each element was designed to feel integrated with the natural surroundings while creating striking focal points for the festival crowd.
We brought the stage concept together with a sculptural DJ booth, detailed with carved textures, geometric panels and integrated LED screens. The oversized organic artwork behind the booth created a strong visual centrepiece, with surrounding foliage and architectural details adding depth and tying the production into the wider Forest environment.
We installed the bespoke overhead canopy across the Forest, using layered printed fabrics, sculptural cut-out detailing and trailing foliage to create a striking ceiling installation. Supported by timber poles and integrated lighting, the canopy transformed the open festival space into an immersive environment, with the printed artwork shifting in character as the natural light changed throughout the day.
Alongside the main stage production, we created a collection of bespoke sculptural details to carry the Forest’s visual language throughout the wider site. A monumental seated figure provided a striking focal point, while illuminated carved markers added atmosphere and wayfinding after dark, bringing the same sculptural detailing into the surrounding festival landscape.
