The Brief

Visual Architects was commissioned to translate the BLUDFEST identity across the wider festival site.
The challenge was to create a collection of individual environments, each with its own character and purpose, while ensuring that everything still belonged to the same unmistakable BLUDFEST world.

Stage 2 & Bludbeer Hall

Stage 2 was housed inside a vast tented structure and needed a strong visual intervention capable of working at scale.
 
The BLUDBEER Hall required a different atmosphere: warmer, more relaxed and rooted in the festival’s established visual identity.
We used earthy brown ceiling drapes, layered flags and warm festoon lighting to turn the beer tent into a welcoming social destination. 

THE B.R.A.T,  YBHQ & SPEAKEASY SPACES

 

One of the most detailed transformations was the large B.R.A.T. destination.
 
Visual Architects created a theatrical interior incorporating extensive draping, a confessional booth and a dramatic cathedral-inspired scenic installation. Religious architectural references were reinterpreted through the darker, rebellious visual language of YUNGBLUD and B.R.A.T.

The bludfest Cemetery

Outside the main tent, the story continued into a bespoke BLUDFEST cemetery.
The installation combined gravestones, gargoyles, coffins and distressed scenic elements to create a darkly playful landscape. Some of the graves symbolically buried negative emotions and experiences – including anxiety, loneliness, bad energy and fake friends – reinforcing the idea that these feelings did not belong inside BLUDFEST.
The cemetery created a natural transition between the festival spaces while becoming an experience and photo destination in its own right.

The bludfest tarot train

One of the most distinctive builds was a fully bespoke BLUDFEST railway carriage.
The exterior was transformed with branded scenic treatments, skull details and theatrical finishes, creating an installation that felt as though it had travelled directly from the BLUDFEST universe.
Inside, guests could visit tarot readers and take time away from the intensity of the main festival. 

Site-wide installations & photo ops

Across the wider site, Visual Architects created a series of large-scale scenic markers and shareable installations.
Near the Main Stage where YUNGBLUD delivered the festival’s headline performance we installed an oversized boombox photo moment that also functioned as a seating and viewing area.
Two bespoke festival archways helped establish the identity of the outdoor environment and guide guests through the site. These were accompanied by two monumental rock-and-roll hand sculptures, adding attitude and scale to the arrival experience.
A branded selfie booth featured YUNGBLUD’s signature angel-wing artwork, surrounded by posters celebrating the artists performing across the festival. Together, these elements gave guests multiple opportunities to interact with the visual world, photograph their experience and share it beyond the festival.
