VA was tasked with providing designs and fabrication for an entrance threshold structure, a feature wall incorporating screens and a new back bar treatment, as well as direction for the overall look and feel and furniture.
We approached Gymnation’s spaces with a clear design vision:
AN INDUSTRIAL RETREAT
Taking inspiration from the shipping containers, we reimagined the raw utilitarian feel into a refined industrial retreat. The design celebrate’s the container’s structural grid creating rhythm, depth, and architectural layering.
Blackened steel and metal mesh are softened through lighting casting warm glows transforming into a dynamic backdrop. Tactile materials like velvet, timber and smoked glass, introduce warmth and comfort. Back-lit perforated metal with organic shapes create movement, balancing the steel’s edge for a sophisticated finish.
The result is a space that feels exclusive yet authentic: industrial at its core, elevated in execution.
