Gymnation set out to update their gyms and disrupt the conventional gym experience. Their ambition was clear: create a fresh, immersive fitness environment where technology, architecture, and wellness intersect. The goal was to build an inclusive, engaging, and futuristic space that turns fitness into a lifestyle not just a routine.
We approached Gymnation’s spaces with a clear design vision:
BLITZ STUDIO
Blitz Studio was designed as Gymnation’s high-end class space. The client wanted to elevate the look and feel, creating something more premium that would also appeal to a male audience. Taking inspiration from vault architecture, the entrance and interior feel bold and secure, with heavy materials, riveted finishes, and rich copper tones that give the space a strong, masculine presence.
We used a combination of rusted steel panels, distressed finishes, and industrial materials to create a strong warehouse visual identity that ties in with the Gymnation brand.
Large arched loft windows, and mirrors, backlit detail to create a floating wall effect and exposed ceilings help open up the space, while still keeping it moody and intense.
The reception space sets the tone for the materials like rusted steel, exposed concrete, and aged copper piping are used throughout to reinforce the gritty, industrial vibe. These are balanced by sleek lighting strips and backlit surfaces that give the space a modern edge.
The changing rooms were designed to reflect the overall industrial identity of Gymnation while feeling functional and premium. The space uses burnished copper finishes, matte black framing and soft concrete tones to create a look that’s both strong and clean. The layout is open and easy to navigate, with built-in benches and smart storage that keeps everything streamlined and tidy.
