About Us:
Visual Architects is a leading company specializing in immersive event environments. We are seeking a Warehouse Foreman to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a hands-on individual with general tools knowledge and a knack for organization, coordination and being able to perform repairs independently.
- Manage tool sign-in/out processes and install lockers with pin numbers for secure tool storage.
- Conduct monthly tool and asset checks across all departments to ensure accountability and maintenance.
- Perform end-of-day building security checks, ensuring all windows and doors are locked, or delegate this task to an appointed employee.
- Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, and Installations Managers to prioritize space allocations in the Middle Section based on workloads and delivery priorities.
- Ensure compliance with rubbish disposal and recycling procedures.
- Assist the managers in maintaining health and safety standards, including fire safety protocols.
- Oversee the management of the sprinkler system, CCTV, and alarm systems to ensure workplace security.
- Ensure all employees wear appropriate uniforms and high-visibility gear at all times.
- Lead the coordination of sales jobs, wrapping, and loading activities, and liaise with HR for additional staffing needs.
- Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, and Installations Managers for building repairs, quarantine, and maintenance.
- Oversee the quarantine section, managing items needing repairs or allocation to the construction department.
- Provide product specifications to the Product Master and manage wrapped items with the Warehouse Manager.
- Book and allocate containers and storage locations, maintaining records for both UK and international projects.
- Ensure quality control checks using the ‘Quality Control Checklist’ for all items and manage van allocations and cleanliness.
- Implement van allocation, damage, and cleanliness checks through a checklist for outgoing and returning vehicles.
- Ensure items returning with scratches are sent back for repairs, and broken items follow the quarantine process.
Qualifications:
- General tools knowledge and handyman skills.
- Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
- Experience in facilities management or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
